Yelp + Zapier + GoHighLevel

What the DIY route gets you, honestly — and where WarmReply picks up.

Yelp's official Zapier integration can push each new Yelp lead into HighLevel (GoHighLevel) as a contact or note — but not as a conversation your team can answer. WarmReply uses that same official integration as transport and adds the two-way part: a real Yelp channel in Conversations, replies delivered back to the Yelp thread. This page lays out both routes fairly — DIY Zapier is a good instinct, and for some teams it is enough.

What plain Zapier can do

What it cannot do alone

What WarmReply adds on the same rails

A Yelp channel in Conversations: leads thread correctly, project details land as custom fields, replies from HighLevel are delivered into the Yelp thread with Yelp-confirmed delivery, failures are marked on the message and retried, an optional instant greeting answers within seconds, and replies a teammate sends from the Yelp app sync back into the same conversation. Setup keeps the Zapier pieces small: two-step connections a checklist verifies for you, in about 15 minutes — $49/month, unlimited leads, 14-day free trial.

Common questions

Can Zapier connect Yelp leads to GoHighLevel by itself?

Partially. Yelp's official Zapier integration can create a HighLevel contact or note from each new lead. What plain Zapier cannot give you is a real conversation: messages threaded in HighLevel Conversations, replies delivered back into the Yelp thread, and delivery confirmation. That two-way layer is what WarmReply adds on top of the same official integration.

Is the Yelp Zapier integration official?

Yes — it is built on Yelp's Leads API and is Yelp's recommended path for connecting leads to other tools. WarmReply uses it as the transport, which also means you benefit from Yelp's current promotion covering all Zapier task costs for Yelp Leads workflows (500,000 free tasks/month on any Zapier plan).

Do I need a paid Zapier plan?

No. A free Zapier account is enough: every connection WarmReply uses is a two-step Zap (free plan compatible), and Yelp's promotion currently covers the task costs of Yelp Leads workflows. If Yelp ever ends the promotion, normal Zapier billing would apply — we publish that openly.

How long does the WarmReply setup take compared to DIY?

About 15 minutes, guided by a checklist that verifies itself — install from the HighLevel marketplace, add your Yelp page, build the small two-step connections in Zapier, send yourself a test lead. A DIY build of comparable behavior means designing contact matching, threading, reply delivery and failure handling yourself.
